Research Experience

My path in medical research began in high school as a student in the Career Academy of Biotechnology and Medical Research. At the graduation of this Academy, I earned a Biotechnician's Assistant Credential. I applied my skills from this program onto a University level when I joined the Swanson Lab within the UF College of Medicine Department of Molecular Genetics & Microbiology. I have researched in this lab since January of 2023 and I have now progressed to investigating my own research project under the direction of Dr. Swanson. This project has also been supported by the University Scholar's program of the UF College of Medicine.
